South of England X-Country Championships 2008
Saturday 26th January 2008

Mike Coleman led the Senior Men to 11th place in the 2008 Southern X-Country Championships.  Barry Royden produced his best run of the season to finish 36th, whilst Pat Curran and Tom Collins both have solid runs to finish 49th and 73rd respectively on a course that can only be described as a bog.  Adrian Lowther turned in a below par performance to finish a disappointing 112th and Gareth Williams and Dan Taylor battled round the course for more than an hour to finish 304th and 485th.  If Neil Renault had been running things might have been different for the team.  With Neil's expected points scoring, and possibly a slightly better run from Lowther, the team would have certainly challenged for the bronze medal.

In the younger age groups the Tylers brothers were unsurprisingly pick of the bunch, with them finishing 19th (Jack) and 21st (Ben) in the Junior Men's race.
