Have you won any titles or been selected for county teams or major events?

I won the 400m Hurdles at the Kent Schools Championships in 2008

 

I was selected to run the 400m Hurdles for Kent Schools at an Inter Counties meeting in 2008

 

I won the English Schools regional final as a member of the Kent octathlon team in 2008 and then went on to represent Kent at the English Schools National CE Championships.

 

How did you get into the sport?

I joined my local athletics club (Swale Combined AC) for fun before moving to Medway & Maidstone AC.

 

Who is your coach?

Chris Bowman

 

How often do you train?    

4-5 times a week

 

What is your favourite training session?

Speed endurance training but a session down at Camber Sands is also up there

 

What is your proudest moment or biggest achievement in the sport?

Winning the 400m Hurdles at the Kent Schools Championships in 2008

 

What are your current aims and targets?

Getting fully fit after my ankle injury and then staying injury free   

 

What are your long term aims and targets?

Representing Kent Schools again in the 400m Hurdles and Octathlon and getting to the English Schools CE championships again

 

Who is your athletics hero?

I don’t have a hero as such but like watching Martyn Rooney compete

 

What do you enjoy doing away from athletics?

Resting and going out with friends

 

What is your job or what are you studying?

I’m still at school preparing for my GCSE’s in a couple of months time

 

Do any of your family compete in the sport?

No – but they say they have tried the sport many years ago!

 

Who is your best friend in the sport?

I get on with most people in our club and also people from other clubs but I spend most time with Alex Wharfe.

If you train hard, listen to your body (and your coach!) then it is likely that you will be successful
