How did you get into the sport?
I originally started at Swale Combined AC in an attempt to get fit for football. However, I discovered that I was winning and entered some competitions. I have skipped between Discus, Long Jump and now the technically challenging Triple Jump

How often do you train?
5 sessions a week during the winter and 3 sessions throughout the summer season
What is your favourite training session?
Hopping & Bounding. This is a gruelling session but I know that it’s working a treat when I turn up to my next session still feeling the consequences of my toils
What is your proudest moment or biggest achievement in the sport?
When I finished in 4th place at the 2007 English Schools’ Championships, narrowly missing out on the bronze and an international vest by 1cm!
What are your current aims and targets?
My aim for next season is to jump 14.50m or more and finish in the top 6 at the English Schools’ Championships in Sheffield
What are your long term aims and targets?
My primary aim is to take Triple Jump as far as a physically can. I would like to surpass 15 metres in the future.
Who is your athletics hero?
Jonathan Edwards & Christian Olsson. I watched them compete many a time and enjoyed their battles.
What do you enjoy doing away from athletics?
I generally like keeping myself fit, but I also enjoy football, cricket and travelling.
What is your job or what are you studying?
Studying A-Levels
Do any of your family compete in the sport?
No, but my Dad sprinted to 4th place in the 1971 English Schools’ Championships 200m in Crystal Palace
Who is your best friend in the sport?
Stuart Hitchcock. We spend countless hours together down the track in all kinds of weather in the hope that we might make it.
Top Tips:
1) Always try to have fun.
2) Train as hard and as often as you possibly can.
3) Never let anyone tell you that you CANT do something.
