Club History

The club was formed in 2001 following the merger of Medway Athletic Club and Maidstone and Rochester Athletic Club (formerly known as GEC Avionics AC).

The club was merged to secure the futures of the teams competing for each club and the success achieved since merger has proved it was the right decision.

The club has gone on to not only gain national league status in both men's and women's athletics but has also proved itself to be one of the strongest teams in the South of England when competing on the road and country.

Individual athletes have also gained real success with a string of regional and international vests awarded to the club's athletes.

The club is based at Medway Park Athletic Track, Gillingham and at Sutton Valence Athletic Track, Maidstone.

The former two clubs had previously been in existance, in one form or another, for over 30 years and had always maintained a competitive but friendly rivalry.
